Winter Break, holiday cottage, Perthshire
Looking for a last minute winter break in Perthshire. Come to our self catering, holiday cottage for 2 to 4 people on the banks of Loch Earn. Book any short break or week between 25th November-15th December at Little Briar, Lochearnhead and we'll let you use the hot tub! Our secret though. Just mention it when you book and don't forget your cozy. Christmas is still free too though New Year was sold out months ago. The views of the Loch are sensational here forcing you to breath in and de-stress instantly. On a moonlit night the scene is enchanting. The cottage faces south looking over the loch to Edinample castle. We encourage guests to put logs on the chiminee, wrap up and enjoy the stars and the loch views all year round. The cottage gets really cosy being well insulated and there are electric heaters, an electric massage chair and Sky TV with DVD and video to keep you company. You may prefer to read or play games. The nearest pub and hotel is literally 150 metres from the gate with a chef owned hotel a further 50 metres on. If your a "foodie" we can recommend some special restaurants within a 15 mile radius. We have WiFi, so bring your laptop if you need to keep it close. If you like walking or cycling you can go miles along the pathway that was once the Caledonian railway line in the direction of Killin or Balquhidder. It is part of National cycle route 7. There are plenty of golf courses in the area and if you are in to walking and climbing this area is absolute munro heaven. You may even get one all to yourself as there is so much space. Check the website for more info and availability www.stayatbriar.co.uk or www.tripadvisor.com to see what other people think.

Jewel found in Lochearnhead!
Currently available from 15th November to 15th December at £292 for 7 nights or £204.40 for 3 consecutive nights. .
One of our holiday customers wrote in the guest book "Little Briar, Little Jewel". This is a great attempt to sum up their experience of our little stone cottage elevated over Loch Earn in the village of Lochearnhead, west Perthshire. The surrounding landscape and setting of the holiday cottage on the ornamental grounds of our 300 year old thatched cottage is truly magnificent. We have tried to describe the setting on www.stayatbriar.co.uk but even descriptions by great writers that travelled in this region like Sir Walter Scott, William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy, failed to capture the overwhelming emotion and joy of being here. Some of our customers have been kind enough to share their experience of Little Briar cottage on www.tripadvisor.com which helps to tell the story. Its not just that seeing is believing. Its more that seeing, smelling, hearing and touching is experiencing. There is rumour of gold, silver and garnets on these lands but we would not swap our little jewel for anything. We are prepared to share it though for weekly holidays for 2-4 people.
